2nd shift: 3:30 p.m. - end of shift; overtime and weekends may be required


OVERTIME: On average 5-15 hours per week, with most weeks right around the 10 hours.

As an order selector, you will pick pieces of merchandise into a tote or box for stores. You will be responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy (98.2% accuracy required measured by putting the correct product and quantity into the tote that is requested) and performance to meet the needs of store orders while utilizing safe work practices. You may work in other areas or functions of the warehouse, as needed.

The location as a whole picks around 1,000,000+ pieces a day between two shifts. Product is slotted into pick shelves that are from ground level to 5ft 11 inches tall. Stepping up onto shelving may be necessary. This job requires frequent bending to pick product from the ground level shelf and reaching to pick product from the top shelf. Pivoting will be necessary to pick the product from the shelf and put it into the tote. They will constantly pick pieces out of boxes or cut them out of plastic to get the correct asked amount and place them in the tote. Pickers will consistently have to cut open plastic and extra layers of cardboard to pick items. Each section on a pick floor is roughly 118 feet long and there are three sections per floor. (This is a rough estimate). Stairs are between 3 and 4 levels high.

-Read store orders from a tablet or RF unit which will include: item locations, descriptions, and quantity needed.
-Select the needed pieces of merchandise and place them into a tote or box.
-Move totes or boxes of merchandise (up to 30-50 pounds regularly) utilizing safe lifting techniques.
-Maintain a high level of accuracy for merchandise selected.
-Work efficiently and effectively on pick lines with 10 or more other employees.
-Maintain 100% or greater to performance standards.
-Maintain cleanliness of work zones at the end of each shift.
-Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
-Cross train in other warehouse duties, as necessary.
-Comply with all policies and procedures of the warehouse.
