Job Summary:
Performs tests, measurements, operations or process controls that are complex in nature. Conducts complex troubleshooting to correctly diagnose product, process, or program defects and repair them.

Relationships:
Direct Report: Team Leader-Production or Production Supervisor

Cross functional relationship: Maintains a close working relationship with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Sustaining teams within the center.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Key responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and test complex mechanical and electronic systems
• Use and maintain automated test system utilities and production tools and equipment relevant to
technical operations (this includes all environmental testing equipment)
• Perform Visual quality checks and inspections of assembled systems.
• Provide leadership and teach peers and juniors skills related to the above
• Utilizes build documentation, procedures, tooling and/or processes as instructed. May develop or amend build documentation, procedures, tooling and/or processes.

Basic responsibilities:
• Accesses Engineering database and navigate to find the latest releases of drawings, specifications and assembly documentation as needed. Actively monitors for documentation that is out of date.
• Use oral and written communication, problem solving, decision making, and creativity techniques
to proactively improve manufacturing process quality and efficiency.
• Know use and function of job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travelers, and bills
of material.
• Has functional knowledge of automated business systems, electronic and mechanical equipment utilities relevant to assembly and testing operations, complies and ensures they are complete and correct as per location requirements
• Maintain production tools and equipment
• Understand basic acronym vocabulary meanings and tool names within the work location
• Know and utilize workmanship standards
• Ability to ensure quality and responsible for quality of work, actively pursue improvements and tooling needs.
• Take ownership of and supports Lean (example: 5S) improvements. Independently performs self-assessments.
• Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety and environmental policies
• Successfully completes required safety training as per local requirements.

Additional Job Details:Skills: • Ability to use all types of advanced measuring automated test and production equipment applicable to area • Possess test knowledge of most work group projects; possess and demonstrate proficiency in test Technique /procedure for cell projects • Must be skilled with electronics, hydraulics and/or mechanical assemblies, automated machine operation and/or programming • Knowledge of electronic components and ability to troubleshoot electronics boards to component level • Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic assemblies and components, ability to assemble, disassemble and troubleshoot. • Have knowledge of drawings and schematics; component identification; wire-preparation, stripping, and crimping; harness repair and termination; use of all pertinent manual hand tools; basic manual high and low temperature soldering and rework techniques • Ability to understand and apply ESD protection techniques, rationale, and equipment; and other basic check equipment operation • Outstanding team working and communication skills. Able to lead small teams during specific tasks. Specific deliverables of the position: Testing of a product including preparation, testing and recording of results. Troubleshooting of product or equipment including investigation, recommendations and implementation of solutions
Education and Experience Education: Minimum high school or equivalency. Two year technical degree is preferred. Experience: 3+ years for High School 0+ years for technical degree
