The Sr Manager Biomedical Engineering will manage a multidisciplinary team of implementation and support resources to recommend develop implement and support biomedical engineering services and medical equipment technology to the organization that is safe secure and highly reliable The Sr Manager will enhance the service line through strong communication and collaboration with the crossfunctional team and ensure biomedical services comply with Joint Commission and other regulatory and inspection agency requirements guidelines and standards This position will lead and motivate team members and clients to achieve tactical and strategic goals
The Sr Manager identifies and communicates industry developments emerging technologies regulatory changes and other opportunities and issues related to healthcare technologies that may have a strategic or other significant impact on the organization The Sr Manager is accountable for reporting quality metrics and developing and recommending changes that lead to improved patient safety
By continual analysis of organizational needs industry best practicesadvancements and regulatory changes the Sr Manager develops and transforms an adaptive service delivery model including developing and guiding personnel progress Additionally the Sr Manager partners with clinical and business leaders to identify plan and implement high impact and sustainable work approaches to ensure tactical and strategic goals are successfully achieved
Job Responsibilites
1 Service Management
a Lead communicate and execute service strategy design operation and continuous service improvement
b Recommend lead and implement scalable enterprise level solutions aligned with departmental and or organization goals utilizing healthcare industry standards and best practices
c Demonstrate competency in strategic thinking and leadership
d Works crossfunctionally with Directorlevel across the organization to socialize strategies obtain feedback and exert influence
e Utilize knowledge of Company policies procedures culture and requirements in order to develop maintain and support organizational and strategic initiatives
f Manage inventory delivery maintenance and regulatory compliance of the organization39s biomedical engineering equipment
g Exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques in a highly complex and dynamic environment
h Establish and maintain an effective partnerships with technical support departments eg Facilities Management Information Service peers etc to ensure customers receive seamless support no matter what the cause of any equipment problems
i Determine root cause of problems and implement solutions to prevent the problem from recurring Lead complex problem investigations
j Provide technical consulting analysis and recommendations including evaluating and recommendation of tools and technologies

a Demonstrate understanding of HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations and partner with Information Security to implement secure equipment and technology that safeguards patient health information
b Lead Medical Device Governance Committee with crossfunctional representation to address regulatory risks in the environments
c Establish policies procedures and standards to address the application of information security standards to medical devices
d Establish onboarding data classification asset inventory asset management patching and vulnerability scan processes for medical devices that house patient and institutional data
e Conduct security risk assessments and remediate audit and security risks to medical devices

5 Vendor and Contract Management
a Reviews all new contracts and contract renewals for supported products
b Participates in contract term and pricing negotiations Tracks renewal dates and engages in contract renegotiation
c Ensures that statements of work are thorough complete and in compliance withnbsp SOW standards
d Ensures vendor is providing services as stipulated in our maintenance and service contract
e Ensures tracking of application licensing
6 Information Security Requirements
a Understand and comply with all enterprise and IS departmental information security policies procedures and standards
b Support the integration of information security in the development design and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process transmit or storenbsp information
Support all compliance activities related to state federal regulatory requirements healthcare accreditation standards and all other applicable regulations that govern the use and disclosure of patient financial or other confidential information
