Job Description:
  • Administering saliva testing to inmates housed in the various correctional facilities
  • MSSI staff will be responsible for providing instructions for the inmates to self-administer saliva test to test for COVID-19.
  • The inmate will provide the completed test to the MSSI Staff member, and the MSSI staff member will be responsible for bagging and sending the specimen off to the lab for processing.
  • The KEY is that the MSSI Staff member must batch the lab requisition number to the correct account for correct processing.
  • MSSI Staff members will be accompanied by a custodial staff member at all times during their stay.
  • Employees will be able toe at lunch in the custodial staff lounge
  • Being in the correctional institutions the following is not allowed:
    • Tight clothing
    • Hanging or dangling jewelry
    • Cell phones (should be left in individuals car)
    • Smart devices (should be left in individuals car)
    • Tattoos should be covered at all times
    • Under wire bras at maximum security prisons
  • Dress Code:
    • Scrubs specific facilities do not allow certain colors
  • NOTE: at maximum security locations individuals will have to pass through a metal detector prior to entering
