Top 3 Required Skills
1) Working knowledge of Java is required. Must be able to read and write code in Java.
2) Working experience with Microservices required.
3) Experience in version control using Git.

What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)?
o Willingness to learn new software and infrastructure technologies
o Strong communication skills (oral and written) to document/communicate issues affecting testing results.

Nice to Have Skills:
o 1+ year hands-on experience using Cucumber preferred.
o Understanding of testing processes and principles.
o Experience with backend testing.
o Knowledge of Dev Ops, CI/CD.

High Level Project Overview:
o Dominion Voltage Inc. (DVI), a Dominion Energy software development and engineering group, is seeking a Programmer Analyst to join an innovative software development and green-technology group. DVI provides Electric Utilities with advanced technology solutions for greater energy efficiency and renewable energy integration.

The role of the Programmer Analyst is to support Software Testing in a fast-paced software development environment. The primary responsibilities will be the development of backend Microservices and Integration test cases and test scripts, execution of testing strategies, and the tracking and reporting of bugs and defects in JIRA. The Programmer Analyst will work closely with the development team to help troubleshoot and resolve issues and ensure defects are resolved. Other key responsibilities include adherence to defined quality standards and requirements, and ensuring that test environments are set up correctly. Must be able to test software, systems and networks. Must have experience developing or testing in Microservices based software. The ,

Preferred Years of Experience:
o 2+ years of hands-on experience developing manual and automated test scripts.
o 2+ years of hands-on experience Microservices testing and integration testing.
o 2+ years of experience analyzing technical software and system requirements.

o Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant discipline or comparable work experience is required.
