Leads the ongoing Strategic Planning effort enterprise-wide. Drives key strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability objectives Projects include analysis and recommendations related to emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, viability of outside business partners, venture capital sources, internal business performance and business process improvement. May be responsible for external corporate communications with industry analysts and the investment community.

Position Title: Project Manager

Reports to Title: Professional and Technology Services Project Management Leader

Work Conditions: Remote based in California.

Job Purpose: To lead, to manage and to provide planning and execution support on projects.

Core Job Duties:

Interacts with both Client and PerkinElmer staff to maintain, track, and report on tasks necessary to the project.

Provide project planning, report on project metrics, and escalate and mitigate risks.

Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; reporting on project budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.

Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Conducts internal and customer facing RAIL calls.

Participates in standard internal reporting forums, escalating issues, project updates, accomplishments, risks, future actions.

High expectation to participate in sharing of lessons learned and best practices for all PMO activities.

Determining, and ensuring appropriate action upon critical path tasks.

Driving decision making, inside and outside of the team.

Identifying and ensuring resolution of conflicts and problems.

Continuously seeking process improvement. Ensuring quality and compliance throughout the project planning, execution, and closure.

Establishing Project Plan, Communication Plan, Escalation Plan, etc.

Establish and maintain clear communication channels to provide full transparency throughout the project.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Science or Business Management; Master's in Business or Project Management preferred.

PM certification (CAPM, PMI, PMP, PRINCE2) recommended.

Minimum of 5 years of project experience. Laboratory environment a plus.

Project Management or Process Development experience.

Highly organized and motivated. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with high attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, experience with customer interaction.

Ability to influence cross functional teams and various levels of professionals.

Proven operational strength to visualize, identify and implement processes.

Demonstrated leadership qualities with a strong bias for action.

Track record of developing, executing, and driving planned initiatives.

Proficient with Microsoft Office; MS Project or Smartsheet a plus.
