Summary Objective

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for compiling and recording employee timepayroll data through a variety of sources May compute employees39 time worked production wages and deductions or prepare paychecks The Payroll Specialist reviews timecards for accuracy and completion Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

  • Compile all payroll and timecard information from electronic sources and paper timecards
      • Process timecards from a variety of sources in the Microsoft Great Plains system
          • Ensure the information is entered into the system correctly for processing
              • Analyzes prepares and inputs payroll data Typically uses automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll
                  • Enters garnishment information accurately and timely
                      • Ensures compliance with all state and federal wage and hour laws
                          • Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
                              • Poll time keeping systems and software to review and download information for completeness and accuracy
                                  • Run a missing time report weekly to make sure that we are paying employees accurately and timely
                                      • Contact various sales and client service managers for any missed time
                                          • Process weekly timecards
                                              • Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment within the organization
                                                  • Facilitates employee understanding of payroll procedures
