Job Description -

Clean Room Manufacturing Technician: Builds/tests assemblies, and performs functions associated with production operations performed in a clean-room manufacturing environment. Sets up, calibrates and carries out preventative maintenance tasks on equipment/room. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct on-line equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization. Uses sophisticated programs to track and control components through the production process. May coach or train other lower level technicians, to develop teamwork, leadership and technical skills. Works with engineering in conducting tests and experiments.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Work in a clean room setting:
o To produce and test critical assemblies used to produce mass spectrometer instruments, Processes include clean assembly ,epoxy dispense, soldering, vacuum leak testing, washing of parts, test equipment, bonding, laser engraving, laser welding, Coordinate measuring machine verification.
o Performs production processes in accordance with documented specifications and production schedules.
o Will handle chemicals on daily basis.
o Work in a Class 10K & 100K environment which requires wearing cleanroom attire.
o Adhere to all safety and clean room standards.
May be requested to provide operational assistance to engineering personnel.
Interacts with other team members toward the solution of problems and the fulfillment of manufacturing objectives, and participate in natural work group teams for continuous improvement.
Performs other duties as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma (or GED Equivalent) required
2-4 years of assembly in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively in a group as well as on an individual level.
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team with people of various educational and technical backgrounds.
Must have the ability to read and interpret specifications, procedures, and mathematics.
Requires the ability to read and write English.
Requires computer skills and familiarity with Word, Excel, Sap, PDM.
Must be familiar with basic safety and cleanroom protocol.

Physical Requirements & Expectations:
Ability to work in a Clean room environment
Ability to wear the full clean room attire
Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 4 hours at a time
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
