The Automation Technician is responsible for supporting and optimizing production in the areas of software and robotics. This includes diagnosing and solving issues, performing tests, collecting data and reporting in all phases of manufacturing.

Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot machine, software and robotic issues that cannot be resolved by a maintenance technician and resolves the issues at the root cause
• Aid engineers run the equipment and production lines when new systems or code is being rolled out. As part of this the technician will take on activities such as running the bays and packaging the produced goods
• Collect, organize and prepare short reports on data from tests, including analysis and conclusions.
• Work with engineers and technicians on the set up, performance and data reporting for non-routine and complex tests.
• Prepare and plot pump and motor performance curves from tests and analytical data.
• Prepare test and fabrication requests as required in support of various projects.
• Assist in construction or disassembly of laboratory test units or field test prototypes, including processing necessary manufacturing and purchasing paperwork.
• Maintain an engineering notebook of all significant activity.
• Identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing lines and work with production and engineers to eliminate them

Previous Experience and Education
• Preferred associates degree on electronics, computer engineer or automation
• Some programming experience preferred: Python, C++, SQL, SCADA.
• Experience with electronics and electro-mechanical interfaces is preferred

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 50 lbs a few times in a day (not-regularly)
• Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly in a day
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces

Additional Job Details:Preferred associates degree on electronics, computer engineer or automation. Some programming experience preferred Python, C++, SQL, and SCADA. Experience with electronics and electro-mechanical interfaces is preferred. Candidate must be a US Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to ITAR and BATFE regulations requirement for this role. "
