Main Job Duties: Keep production flowing through automated manufacturing cell. This includes loading and unloading parts via automatic guided vehicles and automated lifting device. Use of automated stacker crane to move parts from one cell to another. Ensure all robots in the system are operating properly (tooling robots, paint, blast, robotic deburr). Troubleshoot all equipment / systems when needed to keep production flow moving.

Additionally, act as a floater between all manufacturing operations and assist wherever needed. This includes final assembly, manual deburr, autofrettage, tool room, CNC machining, as well as keeping all the automated equipment running.

Knowledge Requirement:
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes that are used in an automated manufacturing operation, including robotic systems (troubleshooting involves programming, electrical, and mechanical systems). Assist with machine maintenance as needed. Must be mechanically inclined.
• Production oriented focus with ability to look ahead of schedule and ensure processes are ready to run in advance.
• Knowledge of machining and use of measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, CMM's.

"• Demonstrate proficiency at, and ability to instruct others in: blueprint reading; component identification; wire-preparation, stripping, and crimping; harness repair and termination; use of all pertinent manual hand tools; basic manual high and low temperature soldering and rework techniques; basic acronym vocabulary meanings and tool names within the work location; ESD protection techniques, rationale, and equipment; operation of cell's test equipment
• Use oral and written communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and creativity techniques to proactively improve manufacturing process quality and efficiency, and ability to teach correct technique to peers and juniors; is familiar with team dynamics and human psychology influences on group performance. Use time management techniques to prioritize technical activities
• Perform technical duties on all functional work group projects; possess and demonstrate proficiency in test technique/procedures for all key cell projects
• Have knowledge of use and function of job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travelers, and bills of material. Has functional knowledge of automated business system utilities relevant to technical operations. Know DMR (Discrepant Material Report) and REA (Request for Engineering Action) systems use and corrective action function
• Familiar with quality theory, auditing, basic statistics, and cellular manufacturing operations
• Maintain production tools and equipment, such as soldering iron stations and teach same
• Maintain a clean and neat work area
• Skilled with electronics, hydraulics and/or mechanical assemblies, automated machine operation and/or programming
• Must read and understand technical instructions, prints and material lists, electronic circuit diagrams, mechanical drawings and hydraulic diagrams, computer printouts, and/or software code listings as required in the functional area
• Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety and environmental policies
• Successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to forklift, drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving)"
