The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating an electric powered industrial forklift to move locate relocate stack push pull tier and count product and materials The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operations of the vehicle in a manner that meets standards for quality productivity and accuracy
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follows GMPs safety guidelines wears PPE and adheres to all safety rules
  • Processes and assists with all inbound andor outbound stocking picking and packing as required by the production schedule as well as performing additional warehouse functions
  • Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and reports on any and all quality variances
  • Accurately picks pulls and prepares required products from the warehouse for shipment to meet shipping cutoff times and processes orders according to all regulatory standards
  • Assists with inventory accuracy on work floor by cross checking products and informing management of any discrepancies and supplying materials to production lines as needed
  • Performs stock alignments as necessary to improve inventory performance and accuracy
  • Efficiently moves product from staging andor storage areas into rail cars of trailers
  • Keeps appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained
  • Follows all GMP safety company policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all OSHA compliance guidelines
  • Maintains the facilitys equipment and materials in a neat clean and orderly fashion
  • Daily inspection of trucks and completion of operational checklists
  • Responsible for recharging batteries
  • Utilizes RF scanners for Shipping and Receiving
    • QUALIFICATIONS
      • A minimum 2 years of related forklift experience in a fast paced foods manufacturing environment preferred
      • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma GED
      • Requires understanding of basic arithmetic in all units of measure to perform standard operating procedures
      • Ability to read comprehend write simple instructions short correspondence and memos
      • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to follow instructions
      • Strong multitasking skills and great attention to detail with follow through
      • Ability to work well under pressure
      • Bilingual EnglishSpanish preferred
      • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship
