The incumbent will work in the Vernal, Utah area.

Job Summary
Under the direction of a supervisor or qualified employee, installs, maintains, and operates pipelines and pipeline facilities, such as compressors, gas dehydrators, separators, line heaters, wellheads, tankage, product loading facilities, pressure regulators, gas quality and measurement equipment, and other natural gas, transportation-related equipment.
Ensures pipeline and facilities are protected against damage from outside forces.
Locates pipelines and associated equipment prior to, and during, excavation.
Maintains accurate field records and reports for all equipment in work area.
Under the direction of a supervisor or qualified employee, installs new equipment.
Assists in compliance with all codes, standards, and permits regarding operation and maintenance of systems and facilities.
Participates in process improvements, and solves problems effectively, as part of a team.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

o Proficiently performs assignments having the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience needed to carry out all aspects of the job
o Exercises independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing, and conducting work assignments
o May receive instructions and guidance on unusual or complex problems and knows when to get others involved
o Effectively utilizes the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches to problems encountered in work assignments
o Identifies and eliminates unnecessary work and non-value-added activities

Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of, and ability to effectively use, modern technology, including laptop computers, desktop computers, smart phones, email, word processing, and online tools.
Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record. Required to participate in random drug and/or alcohol testing, with satisfactory results, subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) and company requirements.
Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with OSHA-required testing.
Must become DOT operator-qualified.
Ability to develop knowledge and effectively follow company procedures, practices, regulations, requirements, and policies.
Ability to develop knowledge of mechanical equipment used in the job, such as compressors, dehydrators, and separators.
Ability to implement proper and safe use of hand tools and maintenance tools.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to prioritize work effectively, and to make correct decisions under diverse circumstances.
Ability to work independently, and within a diverse team.
Ability to handle stressful and emergency situations, requiring the use of sight, hearing, and smell to safely navigate the workplace environment.
May be required to obtain and maintain medical clearance, to operate DOT-regulated vehicles.

Preferred Years of Experience:
0-2 years related experience. Related experience may include construction work, mechanical work, HVAC, automotive work, work with hand tools, or work with construction equipment.

High School Diploma or GED.

Office Work Environment Up to 25%

Travel 26-50%

Other Working Conditions
Will be required to work on call, overtime, rotating shifts, overtime weekends and holidays; May be required to work 4/10 hour.
Must have a valid drivers' license with an acceptable driving record.
