ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing Budgets
- Managing customer delivery chain
- Fuel Program Management
- Fleet Program Management
- Overseeing Transportation Staff including Delivery Drivers Transportation Managers Shipping Center Supervisors
- Scouting for Inefficiencies looking for ways to improve the transportation process
- Delivery Route Optimization
- Oversee distribution transfer network
- Maintaining both internal and external relationships
- Monitoring Inventory
- Updating and developing process documentation
- Eliminating the nonvalueadded services
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous management experience with logistics and transportation
- Proven problemsolving skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Experience and knowledge of Descartes
- Excellent communicating skills in both oral and written form
- Negotiating skillfully to arrive at agreements that benefit the company
- Strong business acumen for effectively managing the costs and revenues
- Ability to anticipate market and client opportunities and respond appropriately
- Self ndashmanaging and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Education
- A bachelors39 degree in commerce with accounts or finance as major
- An MBA degree logistics management is of added advantage
- Over seven years39 experience in logistics management and three years39 experience in managing logistics staff
