Coordinate with Global Transportation Operations Analysts and warehouse to provide shipment information and documentation for shipments. On a regular basis, exchanges information, provides support, and interacts with Transportation and Warehouse Management, Transportation Operations Analysts, Warehouse Personnel, Supply Chain Planning, Purchasing/Procurement, Domestic DC personnel and other inter-company departments and personnel, as well as outside contact with trucking companies, air freight carriers, steamship lines and forwarders.


DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Working with Transportation Operations Analyst and Warehouse to monitor Receiving/Shipping inbound delivery and outbound shipment activity in the warehouse by being on the warehouse floor.
Coordinate communication with carriers (all modes), Transportation Analysts and Warehouse Personnel. This includes scheduling of pick-ups, confirming appointments and getting status with drayage companies and air freight forwarders, as well as local and interstate trucking companies.
Works with Warehouse team to confirm staged shipment is ready after confirming trucker is in-transit or two hours confirmation of outbound appointment time.
Maintain data entry in our planned shipments. Monitoring scheduled shipments through utilization of BOX to review information on each outbound shipment.
Sending daily schedule to multiple departments.
Communicate call outs of concern to Transportation and Warehouse to address issues quickly.
Provide feedback to Warehouse Team to address their concerns or questions through contacts to appropriate personnel.
Possibly assist in the inbound scheduling, confirming appointments, tracking, and getting status of the trucker. Which includes following up
Maintain various daily and monthly transportation activity reports as needed.
Miscellaneous clerical and administrative support for all levels within the department as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision

Experience:

Minimum 1 year office experience (typing memos, copying, filing, scheduling appointments, customer service, maintaining spreadsheets, etc)
3-12 months domestic transportation experience or customer service

Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent

Proficient in MS Access and Power Point experience
Bi-lingual in Spanish
