Seeking a Corporate Paralegal to assist Legal team with subcontracts and obtaining certificates of insurance. 

Strong preference for candidates with Civil Engineering/Construction or Insurance industry experience. 

Ability to multitask, consistently readjust priorities based on incoming requests, and excellent customer service attitude is a must.

We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Corporate Paralegal who will provide strong overall legal support to staff in subcontract reviews, management of the company's insurance certificate process, administration of automotive and property damage insurance claims, and other legal functions with initiative, professionalism, and leadership.  We are a progressive company with many different service areas, and we value and support internal growth and development. This is a full-time position located in Burlington, Massachusetts.

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

  • Draft, assemble, and revise subcontracts, blanket service agreements, work authorizations for the engagement of engineers, consultants, drillers, and contractors.

  • Provide guidance to staff members by verifying whether subcontractors comply with the company's and its clients' insurance requirements, including interacting with subcontractors and/or their insurance brokers to ensure all required insurance documents are in order.

  • Train staff regarding subcontract administration and procedures.

  • Be responsible for obtaining and renewing certificates of insurance for the company's clients, which involves the review of contractual requirements and interaction with the company's insurance representatives, client representatives, and our clients' third party insurance administrators.

  • Proactively manage a certificate of insurance database to keep track of the company's insurance certificates.

  • Work with the General Counsel during the company's annual insurance renewal, including the preparation of insurance renewal applications.

  • Handle and interact with staff members and our insurance representatives with respect to processing and submitting automobile and property damage insurance claims.

  • Assist the Legal team with responding to subpoenas received by the company.
