Internal Title: LIMS Specialist

Looking for a LIMS specialist with Labware experience.


This position is responsible for developing, supporting, and advising on a LIMS enterprise application project to meet and enable business needs. This role provides system expertise, best fit solutions, industry best-in-class practices and will support LIMS implementation and roll-out to all laboratories globally.


Work with the project team to support all LIMS project implementation activities.
Design, configure, customize and implement the LIMS system to fit  business and operational requirements.
Manage effective data exchange between LIMS and all lab instruments and other associated systems customizing code and parsing scripts code to accommodate data exchange.
Provide technical feedback and guidance on data output options, recommend technical changes, and share suggestions for improvements in analysis and reporting.
Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, work instructions and other relevant documentation for quality as it relates to the LIMS system/application.
Lead and conduct end-user training for the LIMS system.
Perform testing and validation activities, as needed.
Support site(s) during go-live transition and post implementation activities.
Collaborate with different laboratories globally to discuss common issues, share learnings and best practices.
Collaborate closely with Quality and GTS (Infrastructure, Network, Database, Security, Service Desk, and Business Relationship Management) teams on the infrastructure and database requirements.
Troubleshoot process failures and implement process improvements; Liaise with the technical team on complex problems to provide resolution in a timely manner.
Provide regular status updates to project team, project manager and key stakeholders.

Capable of developing architecture/solutions based on Labware LIMS
Experience in installing and configuring Labware LIMS
Ability to develop and maintain SAP Crystal Reports supporting LabWare LIMS SQL database.
Experience in LIMS BASIC, Crystal Reports, HTML
Experience in Oracle DB, PostgreSQL or MySQL
Knowledge in Cloud Computer, such as Microsoft Azure
Knowledge in web application server administration and configuration
Experience in requirements, gap analysis, design, system configuration, development, testing, go-Live and hyper care for development, maintenance, upgrade, and support projects
Experience in integration with system integration (ERP, PLM, etc.)
Experience with interfacing instruments with LabWare LIMS
Experience with implementing Labware Electronic Lab Notebook
Knowledge in developing and executing functional and/or performance tests
Experience in troubleshooting & analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills and the ability to take an innovative approach to business problems
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork, sharing knowledge and expertise as it relates to the role
Have a strong understanding of industry standards and upcoming technologies
Understand programming logic and be able to create, view, and debug application programs


Minimum of 5 years industry related experience in using Labware.
Experience in software/systems lifecycle development methodology.
Experience authoring and reviewing technical documentations, standard operating procedures, on-the-job-training, and other controlled documents.


Bachelors Degree in IT, Science, or Engineering or higher

Demonstrated ability to lead LIMS implementation project(s) across multiple sites
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and support others through a culture of inclusion, feedback, and empowerment.
Knowledge of FDA, EU, and global GMP's including Good Automated Manufacturing Practices, 21 CFR Part 11, and EU cGMP Annex 11.
Strong knowledge in Data Integrity Requirements for FDA, EU, and global regulatory authorities.
