POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Manager, Global Lease Accounting will be responsible for development and management of the accounting and financial reporting related to lease accounting in accordance with US GAAP. Additionally, the role will support development of standardized processes related to lease and cost accounting.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Develop and manage proper control environment to support the effective financial reporting of leases in accordance with US GAAP.
Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley control compliance by performing periodic testing procedures.
Manage monthly reporting and review of lease portfolio identifying potential changes warranting further investigation with regional teams.
Partner with various regional Finance and Operations teams to adequately evaluate new agreements ensuring the identification of both explicit and embedded leases and related assets.
Monitor periodically changes to the lease portfolio to ensure completeness and timely renewal/retirement of expired leases.
Assist with the periodic maintenance of the Lease Accounting software environment.
Support the companys quarterly and annual SEC reporting and associated external Audit requirements
Assist with the transition of monthly journal entries to a standardized automated solution utilizing Visual Basic, macros, and robotics software.
Develop and implement standardized operating procedures related to lease and cost accounting.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will not oversee any staff.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
Highly motivated with demonstrated leadership skills
Strong accounting experience and proven analytical skills.
Team player and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
Solid project management experience.
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Detail oriented, self-motivated, and ability to properly prioritize.

Experience:
A minimum of 5+ years accounting experience.
Strong knowledge in all MS Office applications, particularly in Excel, including the ability to perform pivot tables, VLOOKUP and high-level functions and formulas.
Experience utilizing leading ERP software (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP).

Education:
Bachelor's (BS/BA/BBA) degree in Accounting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in both Corporate and Public Accounting.
Experience in large multi-national corporations.
Multi-level marketing knowledge helpful.
