Summary Job Description
Responsible for assisting subsidiaries in producing and analyzing financial reports and formulating and calculating key metrics for determining optimal financial performance.
Performs variance analysis. Processes reports to support account details and assists field personnel with issues and questions. The ability to resolve complex accounting issues, work under pressure and multitask is essential. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and three to five years of experience. CPA certified or exam eligible is a plus. Reports to Accounting Supervisor.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Ensures financial statements are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Assists departments and subsidiaries with account analysis and research
Analyzes basic financial reports and key performance indicators and makes
recommendations relative to balance sheet and P&L statements implications
Analyzes the results of the subsidiary performance against historical data and reports results to subsidiary upper and executive management
Evaluates trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variances
Generates daily and monthly reports to assist in above duties and prepares other management and statutory reports, as required
Makes recommendations to resolve issues and makes corrections, as necessary
Seeks opportunities to modify or enhance current processes and ensures processes are documented and up-to-date
Performs other accounting research as needed
Interface with external/internal auditors in managing requests concerning processes and deliverables
Promotes teamwork between operational groups and departments
Assists the accounting team with monthly responsibilities
Performs and/or reviews account reconciliations, as needed
Assist Accounting Supervisor with supporting offshore team
Other projects as assigned

Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance combined with 3-5 years accounting/finance experience
CPA or pursuing certification is a plus
Heavily skilled in general ledger reconciliations
Extensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures as relates to general ledger accounting
Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
Highly detail oriented and ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines
Critical thinking skills with timely, effective decision making
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally and effectively
with colleagues and global customers/clients including Executive personnel & Directors.
Ability to facilitate meaningful discussion and influence outcomes using reasoning and accounting logic.
PeopleSoft experience required
Ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally as required.
